I like the nano better because you don't have to change a filter constantly..... the filters can be expensive and with the nano you just have to change the carbon bag and clean the sponges, but this is just my opinion

I like the design of the bio-cube better. as for the filters i got some cheapo quilting batting from fabrics side of wallyworld and i use that and just toss it every few days.

bio-cube for its design, and reputation. Oceanic has gurantees on all of their eq

post was cut-off, Oceanic gurantees all of their equipment so you can rely on it and don't worry so much about sponges and things like that because you are going to end up modding it, trust me! The mods are cheap, effective, and addicting, my .02

Having owned both, I definitely would go with the bio cube. It's built very well and like the last person said, don't worry about replacing cartridges, you'll end up modding it anyway.

I like the Bio-cube better personally. The design and overall layout are better IMO.

And as others said, once you get your legs with it, you will be changing around the way the filtration works in the unit so changing of media really shouldnt be an issue.
