I am looking at setting up a nano tank. Does anyone have any opinions or recommendations on one. I am looking at the JBJ 24 gal and the current aquapod 24 gal.
 
I have the 24 gal aqua pod and I love it, I got the kit with the 70watt HQI MH. I drilled mine and hooked a sump to it so I had a place to drill my chiller hole and so I had plenty of room for my skimmer. I can e mail you a few detailed pics if you'd like them.
 
Didn't they have problems with the JBJ ones cracking all the time? Not for sure but you may want to check into it.
 
i think got2lb is right, people kept having them crack, and heck why not get MH lighting with the aquapod anyways, I was even thinking about doing the aquapod too!

i set up the 12 gallon nano cube - no cracking problem but it had heat issues.... the stock set-up is nice but it needs one more pump (got hte smallest tunze) and I removed the filter media and used an old stocking filled with carbon..... just recently took it down and added all of the items to my 26 gallon tank.

Thinking of turning it into a xenia and shrimp only tank.....
 
we had a nano cube crack twice...
this is still my biggest fear, to hear that noise of the crack and then water gushing....ohhh....
The guys at nanocustoms made everything right though, they are great great people to work with...check out their site, they might have some nice acrylic nanos by now...
glass is clearer, but acrylic is stronger....
