Nano DOC Skimmer

i'm giving serious consideration to this skimmer. what height requirement is needed to service the skimmer? from the picts/diagram it seems the pump is internal. so is the actual functioning footprint 4.9 x 2.1 inches?

i have a 30 gal mixed fish/LR & softcoral. i plan to put the skimmer in the sump portion of a slim 60 wet/dry filter. then hopefull set-up and over flow to a 10 gal refugium. the shorter tunze nano should allow me to raise my wet/dry enough to have gravity flow to the refugium... i hope.

are there many nano DOC skimmers out there? i've only seen one recent review on a reef frontiers forum. do you think they'd perform similar to the aqua-c urchin? that is the other i'm considering?

I'm tagging along as well. I currently have a Remora on my 30 cube, and it is hardly pulling anything out even on it's lowest setting. I was told that the injector on the Remora suffers when feeding overly-oily foods (i.e - Mysis, or Hufa) or toping off / water changes.

I was curious to see if the Tunze nano would have the same problems since it is more of a venturi skimmer vs. an injector.

Anyone have pics / opinions / experiences with the 9002?
