Nano fish that can thrive with minimal feedings?

Hey,

Are there any small fish that need very little prepared foods if any to thrive?

I'm looking for something that can feed and sustain itself on the natural food that grows in the tank: algae, pods etc.

Any ideas other than a mandarin?

Rainsford goby, stays tiny and quite often will not take any prepared food. I kept one for about three years in my nano and he never ate anything I put in the tank. The hectors goby is quite similar. Mine ate pods and sifted sand.

I've had a friedmani in a 10 gallon for 4+ years and feed him occasionally (only fish in the tank). I do see him eat pods / worms periodically and he is healthy.
