Nano GFO reactor

I thought i'd share this very simple DIY that I did recently for my 27g AIO. I was starting to get some GHA and started looking into GFO. Only problem was my lack of space.

Here's what you need:

- Small gravel vac with tubing
- Small powerhead/pump for flow
- Some blue/white filter media sponge
- GFO (I used TLF Phosban)

I cut the gravel vac tubing and attached one end to the pump and the other end to the gravel vac. I then cut a square of the filter media and stuffed it down the gravel vac opening, put GFO in, put another square of filter sponge just over the top of the GFO and then used the filter bag that came with the Phosban to cover over the gravel vac opening (used a rubber band to keep it in place).

Cost me about $40-45 for everything including the Phosban.
