nano live rock?

new to saltwater, should i buy nano live rock or full pieces. also cured or uncured i have a aquapod 24 gallon with 150 watt hqi. thanks for any help.

If you can afford cured get that, much less of a cycle.

It's obvious your looking to buy rock online, what site are you looking at?
I got my rock from Premium Aquatics, 30# of Marshall Island.

This was mine before i took a hammer to it and broke up the pieces

I think I am going to go with Marcorocks. It is dry, but for a base, it is much cheaper and will be fine once seeded with a couple of pieces of "live" live rock. Buying it dry, it is a lot lighter also. More bang for the buck and not as many pests.

Don't expect dead rock to ever be as good as real live rock. The outside of dead rock will be recolonized by bacteria, but the really beneficial life inside the rock, (the reason it’s called “live rock”) like boring worms, are dead and gone, who knows if they will ever be able to recolonize.
Live rock is such an important part of a successful nano reef that I would just stick to good live rock. Spend the money and get the real thing for a nano.

I also bought 30# of cured nano live rock from Premium Aquatics and received it yesterday. Love the stuff! It's slightly cheaper than the larger size. I like dealing with the smaller pieces. The only drawback is you may end up with a mixture of Fiji, Marshall, Tonga, etc. It depends on when you order. However, If you ask for one type specifically, I'm sure any reputable merchant will do their best to accommodate your order.

Yup the old hammer and flat head trick lol ... Some stores have rock for like 3.99 just look around.
