Wow, I'm so jealous of all these awesome Zoa tanks.

All D: It's A. lord (I think), been 3 polyps for like a year now. Polyps are huge, like 1/2 dollar size, 2 are turquoise/green and one is almost all red. Polyps just keep getting bigger but not spreading like other A. lords, so I'm beginning to wonder if that's what it truly is (???). Def. not a brain of any type I've ever seen. If it's in that tank and you can't tell what it is, chances are it is A. lord.

ED: Another schweet zoanthid tank! Are those shrooms really that red? You Cali guys get all the good stuff!

thx for the complement CEE but you also have a great tank really nice and unike not a boring zoa tank that is getting really common this days :lol: .. anyways well those red shrooms look exactly color wise but little less brightness .. the color is really intense but camara tends to not take a good pic of it .. makes them look blurry since of the intense color but most like it same as pic...... to confirm the color ... see if reefman comes to this thread he got one of my babies orange shrooms he will tell you that the color of those shrooms are incredible my self havent seen a color like it !

I do have a passion for the Acans, even before the "rage", but the zoas are really popular these days and come in such a incredible variety of colors as your tank and a few others in this thread show! Shoot me a PM if the shrooms ever procreate.

bower? No, polyps too fleshy for that. hillae, possibly. maxima, could be, but I doubt there's anything in this country that is a true A. maxima, although the polyp size is the biggest I've seen on an Acan. Def. a Mussidae family, probably Acanthastrea. I'd guess a monster polyped lord, though. Here's a blowup of the high res of the tank shot, not a great pic of the "frag", not nearly fully inflated, but you get a rough idea:

Whats sick is the amount of $ you can spend on a nano. I erks me to think what I've spent.

That really scares me when I think about setting up a bigger tank.

Ok,heres my first place winner 2.5 gallon.I have 36w PC and a aqua clear 30.I have 2 snails in there with about 3 pouns of Live rock.Just some softies and zoo's will go in.I might try a monti digi at the top.Keeping it bare bottom for now,Started on 10/19

The thermometer's goin,I just wanted to see if the temp stayed stedy.It stays between 79-81

Hey Ed! Pirate'sReef here from NT. Great looking tank! I don't think I ever saw a FTS of it before. Hopefully mine will grow up to look like that some day.

inspired by cee's awesome tank post... i felt compelled to post my tank too...
its another acan/micro domination tank... but instead of colonies i concentrated on single polyp frags..

cee's tank gets my vote tho... thats what i initially wanted my tank to be like... but then i found non-indo acans and the price was too high for a good sized frag... so i concentrated on buying one polyp frags...
i know its hard to see from these pics but just to give you an idea... bout 18 different morphs of non-indo lords... too many indo's, some micros, a buch of other non-lord acans, some zoos and other stuff... but predominantly lords and micro frags...
