i was wondering what type of skimmers people are running. I have a 14 gallon bio-cube and am looking for a skimmer that i can possibly conceal inside of the hood. any suggestions would be great.

I don't have a biocube (AGA here) but i'm using a Tunze Nano DOC. Works well and is pretty compact. I'm not sure if it will fit for you.

I have the sapphire Aquatics skimmer and it does an awesome job!!

Although the one that ordinary story made looks very promising.

Any thoughts on this skimmer? It's made by Current USA called the Fission Nano-Skimme...retails anywhere from $20 to $40.

Per my thread posted on this skimmer shortly ago, the general census is no bueno'

Im gonna go with the Tunze DOC...check that one out!

The Fission skimmer is terrible. I bought one and threw it away. It introduces so many bubbles into te tank. Even after tuning the pump. The foam it creates is watery. Not a good buy. I had a terrible time with it.

THe fission skimmer sucks.......kinda.

I had it in my 20h and only ran it at night due to all of the micro bubbles, and i NEVER got skimmate once.

I'm upgrading to a 40 gallon cube, so all of my water and rock is in a rubbermaid tub waiting for the new cube to ship in. I said what the hell and threw in the fission. For some reason, the thing is going nuts with skimmate. I've got a cup full every day now.

I'm still going to upgrade though, as overall i'm not impressed.
