Hey,

I want to set up a little 1 foot Cube. I would like it to be a species tank, but I don't know what species to keep. I don't really wanna do the mantis thing either.

Any suggestions?

Are you talking species only invert. or a species only fish? Is this including corals or just lr. You could maybe go with one of the pygmy frogfish. Cool little guys if they eat for ya.

thanks for the post. Ill do whatever. I have been looking at frogfish. Im going to keep looking into keeping them. Any other ideas?

Pistol shrimp/goby pair ? With about 5 gallons you could have two gobies with the shrimp.

Four or five sexy shrimp ?

One large hermit crab ?

Caribbean biotope with a couple of small blennies ?

A single damsel with a rock face to protect ? Maybe some colorful shrooms as the only corals.

Atlantic ricordeas with a pair of peppermint shrimp?

good ideas. Im going to look into the shrimp/goby pair.
Do you think Dwarf seahorses/Ricordia would be an option?

Single LPS, (recommend Montipora digitata because it's hardy, fast growing and tough) and a citroen goby to live in it's branches.

Tried the dwarf seahorses in a 7 gallon, they're lousy feeders that need low flow, Mine was a nuisance algae factory. Also they need macroalgae and don't do well with corals (except gorgonians).
