I just attached it with the glass. As long as the glass panel is not so thick, vortech will be doing fine.

Dang, some sweet tanks.

Yup, that's a vortec, 1/2 power on reef crest mode in my 10g. I've turned it all the way up before, but it blows the rubble around; might glue it to the existing rockwork. Not sure yet.

As for nutrient export, I run a bit of chaeto in a 4.25 gallon sump, tunze 9002 protein skimmer, and also change the water on a weekly basis.
