Love the caps. I have an orange one but i'll have to wait for it to grow out.

I def. love caps as well. I just wish I had a larger space for them to grow out. Your coral colonies are beauties (not to mention the tank) Nice job!. Good luck with the RB treatment. You might want to treat those yellow polyps too...;) Those are starting to take over my other nano. They've finally spread so far on the sand bed they've reached my LR. have to get rid of them soon.

You crazy :)

If you entered this month you would win.

Wow! Richard,

I just looked at the thread for Nanos. Your coral frags are awesome!!! I could spend hours drooling over each one. What type of lighting are you using? I can't wait to see that tank grow out. Rockwork is really nice too!

Thanks Ctreefer. I recently upgraded to a 250w sunpod with a helios 20k bulb. Growth has really increased since upgrading lighting.

OK...you guys have inspired me. I have a modified Finnex 30G. Aquactinics TX5. I feel I have plenty of light and flow. The PROBLEM is NO SKIMMER. The tank is 6 months old and thriving with LPS. I do a 15%-20% water change every week and dont miss one.

So.... without a skimmer, how will SPS fair. I am not interested if they cant maintain their color and thrive. What'ca think?

Mark

Thanks for the comment, I think its a long way from being NTOTM quality at the moment. Some of these nanos are really really nice.

You have to enter yours. Your tank is really nice!!

I ran my nano without a skimmer for 2 years and only did a 10% weekly water change.Honestly,i cant tell any difference.

cutegecko3,

Thanks for the info....think I am going to give it a go.

p.s. I am an Arkansas boy... lived in Fayetteville/Springdale. Went to U of A and then flew for Scheduled Skyways for years.

thanks everyone for the compliments. Great, now I've got the locals chiming in. ;)

I'm going to hold off. I really want to get a few more months on some growth, color and maybe a couple cool fish. Then I'll be happy with it.

Mark, my nano posted in this thread is currently being run skimmerless. I used to run a skimmer but with the barebottom and not a lot of fish my colors were awful. I think you can do it depending on your setup and bioload. Its been about 6 months on mine now and I couldn't be happier.

what do you come on this forum to get away from us. lol

You can't blame me for trying can you? LOL.

no fuge, well not really. My external overflow has some chaeto in it but its not much. The sump has a rdsb and rarely I'll run a phosban reactor.

What are some good beginner SPS ?

I know digitas are great, along w/ bali slimers and bird nest.

Any other suggestions?
