Nano star?

That does look like a fromia to me.. however I know for a fact they get around 3"

I'm really impressed how successful you were with it! :)

I think the thing is that they are really really sensitive to any kind of parameter change in the tank i noticed that when ever something was off in the tank he was not happy once it was corrected he was happy again. But I think if left for to long it might would have effected him. I was alway monitoring my tank every day when u got home from work. I didn't have a TV or anything like that in my room so I would just sit and watch my tank at night till I fell asleep. So maybe my over attention to the tank and what was going on is what kept it alive in bigger tanks thing go missing and can be gone for weeks at a time before you noticed in some cases maybe that's why people don't have good luck with them

Wait you're 12?

No complaints as I'm still only 15 :D

But I'm a bit worried if you're mature enough to be playing with test kits and such early on like this.. I mean you do not want to drop a vial of test results for ammonia or the like. I admittly wasn't mature enough at first and lets say nothing but disaster when I first started (at 14).

Besides, at my age I already have 2 little jobs to support everything I own, my parents won't spare a dollar (can't afford it) and that's working out just fine.

Yes. Other people have said the same things but my father would help me. We both take care of the tanks we already have.

Nothing wrong with being in this hobby young. I think learning while your young will help you make less mistakes becuase your more willing to learn instead of fighting about how you did everything right but still something messed up.

You can be any age and in this hobby, which at my age I can certainly prove ;)

Glad to hear he'll atleast have some super vision as I've made some pretty dumb mistakes in the past (I had a heater laying on my wooden canopy to fix something.. forgot about it.. flipped the switch to the outlet on with everything plugged into it rather than unplugging the heater itself..and as I was leaving and walking out the door I began smelling wood burning.. I ALMOST BURNT DOWN OUR HOUSE :D and I'm extremely careful when it comes to things like that.. not to mention this was a 300 watt heater that burnt my arm UNDERWATER.)

Lol sounds like that would hurt! :mixed:

Go with chocolate chip starfish if you don't have any coral. They are great scavengers and are very hardy.
