Nano Wavebox Question for Roger

Roger,

I have a 75G AGA tank. I want to install the new nano wavebox but I am not sure if it will work in my tank given some personal tank constraints. I want to put it on the back right corner of the tank. Along the rear is the megaflow overlow. It is about 2.5 feet from the side of the tank to the overflow. There are also rocks that will disrupt the flow along the way. Will the wavebox still work. I don't want to place it along the front due to aesthetics.

Here is a pic to show what is along the back where the wavebox would be. The box will replace the tunze nano in the pic.

Thanks

Have you seen one in a 48" tank? The footprint is really small. When i told my wife I was putting something in front of my 120 - she said that would be "ugly" - but upon seeing the actual box - she's completely fine with it. It extends just 4" from the side glass. Top to bottom it's 8".

So in conclusion - I'd suggest putting it in the front. But maybe Jarhead or roger can comment on placing it in the back.

I know it is very small but I really just don't want the box taking up 10% of my front viewing area. I know that my own issue is what may limit me but if thats the case then I can live with it. I thought I read that the nano box could handle these types of issues but I want to confirm before I shell out the $$$.

Onano, from the picture the nano 6206 will work. As long as you don't have any rock blocking the front outlet of the pump you are good to go..

It should work, you can actually place the wavebox in the back corner and point it to the front.

Roger, just to be clear so the box can go in the back right corner and fire to the front right corner (distance of 17 inches from front to back) and create a wave without firing down the longest length of the tank? If so that is even better.

You can mount the nano wavebox in the back of the tank flow toward the front and you will have wave across the length. I have seen it on the regular size wavebox on a 60x30x24 tank as well.

Yes, it will work, the wave is not as straight, it gets a wobble which is worse with the full size wavebox so we don't recommend it for the full size but for the nano it works very well because the pump is so much weaker.
