nano wavebox size

The nano wavebox is listed at L 4.9 x W 2.1 x H 8.6 in.

The 6055 stream is listed at 2.7 diameter.

I bought a couple 6055 thinking they must have been small enough to fit in a box similar to the nano wavebox but they obviously are not.

What pump is included in the nano wavebox if not the 6055?

It would be worthless on its own, half the pump is inside the box and the motor is glued to the bottom plate of the nano wavebox, You would have a 2' by 4" rectangular plate with a motor glued to it and an open propeller. It is par 6206.200 and it may already be listed on the tunze site.

I checked out the website, it's awesome seeing everything listed. You could in effect buy a 6055 without the magnet or c-clip and save $25.

So is the pump within the nano wavebox identical to a 6055 with the spherical body removed? Or is it modded for performance in some way?

It has all of the shrouding cut off, it is just the actual encapsulated motor coil. The front shroud is cut down and glued into the body of the wavebox and they are configured so the two pieces meet up inside the wavebox housing. Basically the wavebox housing serves as most of the shroud.

To save that extra 1/2-3/4" in width, got ya. Nice.
