Nano Wavebox

Hi, I never owned a Tunze Wavebox, but now that I’m in the process of starting a nano tank I really want to incorporate the new nano Wavebox into my new system. I have searched but I have been unsuccessful finding any information about what are the tank requirements for the Nano Wavebox to work efficiently. What I mean is there is a maximum and minimum length and height the tank has to be. If I want a rimless tank are there any structural requirements I must keep in mind. I read that wave boxes put a lot more stress on tanks and can even break them apart.

Well, while they could theoretically break a tank it would have to be old, poorly made or on an unlevel base. We know of only two cases, one the tank was so new the silicon had not even cured, it was literally slapped together and filled within a day. One the tank had a manufacturing defect. It does shift the water weight which stresses the seams. The Nano wavebox will work on a tank that is at least 24" long, possibly even 20" but the controller is still being refined. The tank should be at least 12" deep. It should be fine on any relatively new, well made name brand aquarium that is on a level base.
