Nanocumtoms ICA chiller

Any one have any experience with Nanocustoms ICA 2.0 chiller on a 12Dx? I just installed it and it seems as if the AC adaptor it came with is shorting out after only 24hrs of use. Does anyone have one that works? And if so, how well?

Have one on a 24 nano. Seems to be cooling tank with fan on continously but you need to bring this to their attention. Make sure that your plug connection and polarity are set correctly. That could be the problem. If it is reversed, the unit heats up! It feels hot to the touch.

Thanks. Is the metal plate exposed through the hood hot or cold to touch? Does the vent in the hood over the fan expell hot or cold air?

they are a few miles from me and did the installation. I touched what little of the unit exposed this am and its cold to the touch. When I first set it up, I had the polarity on both the fan adapter and the cooler adapter wrong. Once corrected, its keeping the tank at a steady 78 degrees. Fan appears to be expelling hot air.

Thanks. If you look through the vents on your hood (from the top-down/hood closed) do you see a sticker on the exposed fan or is it bare? The reason I ask is b/c their directions indicate (and emphasize) directing the fan to blow out of the hood. However, when discussing my set-up with nanocustums today, they instructed me to do the opposite, i.e. reverse the fan to blow toward the chiller.

Its bare.or at least I can't see a sticker. I wish I could be more helpful. If I had any mechaincal skills, I would not have had to practice law for the last 30 years. I had to call them several times before I could figure this out and they did all the installs as they are onlya few miles away. I do feel that the unit is worth it. The tank is at a steady 78degrees. There should be two adapters. The smaller one for the fan which I run at a low speed and the larger adater for the chiller. My problem was polarity because with advancing and lousy eye sight, I did not initially see the plus signs on the plug. Let me know how things turn out. I do feel that I would not set uo any tank without a chiller!
