Nanoreefbro's 233 gal Leemar Starphire Tank!!!

I always wanted a tank with those kinda over flows i was just scared to take the risks. Im glad you like beautiful system start filling it with sps now....

Thanks Rob, I'm having some issues with my phosphates being high but I've been keeping up with the water changes and all so I will start adding some more sps very soon...

Have you tried adding a phosphate reactor? They will help so much as will water changes. You could try feed fishes every other day too this helps also.

Hi Rob I added a phosban reactor a few weeks ago and have been making water changes regularly and my phosphates have gone done considerably.

What size bulk heads did you use on your overflow? Are they 1in or 1 1/2in? Do you get enough flow with your snapper pump?

I love the over flow box

I love the over flow box

I want to upgrade to a large aquarium and i am torn between a peninsula set up or the overflow box that you have chosen. What is the name of that kind of over flow?

Beautiful well laid out setup!! Rock work looks awsome.

Thanks Jerry! I had thought I needed more live rock but I'm happy with how it's setup...

Bigfish I followed BeanAnimal's setup and used 1.5" PVC fittings (adapted to the 1" bulkhead with a bushing). But larger bulkheads are perfectly suitable to use.

Its the Silent and Failsafe Overflow system created by BeanAnimal

One word: Nice

Thanks Caliking! Appreciate the compliment

How do you like your snapper pump? Do you get enough flow with it? Im debating between the snapper and dart pump and am not sure which one to go with.

Funny that you asked. I used to like the Snapper alot but recently it seems like there isn't enough flow getting into the tank. I took it offline this evening and cleaned it thinking maybe I needed to do that but I'm getting the same results. I have an extra Dart I'm going to swap with it tomorrow... This is the first time I've had a problem with a Reeflo pump. So I don't think you can go wrong with a Dart or a Snapper. I would probably go with the Dart just because its more gph... Did you decide on which size tank you are going to get yet?

Im leaning towards a 60x30x25 but it will be almost a year until I will be able to start buying everything. Let me know how you like the dart.

That should be a nice setup.. I had some issues with the Dart. Its about 2" bigger than the Snapper and I cant get it to fit. I bought some elbows but really didn't want to do that so for now I have the Snapper back on there..

You have a beautiful aquarium ..... what is your lighting system?

Greetings from Argentina.

Thanks I'm running three 250 watt 20K Radium bulbs on 3 Lumenarc III reflectors. I have the Icecap Electronic ballasts...
