Hi All,

Well, we have a problem! The C-clamp on my powerhead just cracked! It's a great powerhead, but everything on it is so brittle!!! I'm in Canada so I would imagine I won't be dealing with Roger on this? If not, does anyone know how to contact Tunze Canada?

Thanks alot for your help!

Bud

Also, there is a plastic ring that is normally attached to the bottom of the impeller under the magnet cylinder that has fallen off. Does this need to be re-attached for the powerhead to work properly?

You need a new drive unit and disk. This happens because the plastic is glass reinforced and with wear the two pieces sand through each other. Ask Phil to include the stainless steel disk that was added in the last couple months to prevent this. It goes between the plastic disk and drive unit.

The only problem is that I had the broken clip problem several months back. In order to alleviate this problem, I superglued the C-clamp to the magnet holder. Any idea how I could remove the C-clamp now to attach the new one?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Usually the super glue doesn't hold that well. I have usually been able to get them off when these come in for repair. I grab the base near the magnet with pliers and twist. If necessary I use a small slotted screwdriver and pop the tabs out.
