I just got a Nanostream 6045 today and when it's turned on after being turned of the magnet and propeller get shot forward and hit the the grate on the output. Theres no flow coming out of the front nozzle where it's supposed to but it come out the top and side grates instead. Any ideas why? If you don't understand what I mean I'll get a pic to show you. Thanks.

This is kind of normal. If the prop spins backwards it is supposed to shoot out, hit the grate, fall back and spin the right way. It should not be spinning bakcwards though. Try restarting it, make sure it is not aimed sharply upwards, this can be especially problematic on new pumps where the parts still need to break in.

I have it aimed almost completely straight. It shoots out but doesn't fall back into place even if I try restarting it again. I have to stick my hand in front of the grate and it sits back down and starts working properly again. I'll leave it for a bit and let it break in hopefully it will correct itself. Also it seems to be a bit louder than my 6000 is that normal? Thanks for the help.

They will be a bit louder. Can you check a couple things? There is a part called a disk, it is a white washer, make sure it is a the bottom of the shaft. Make sure the prop is symmetrical. The 60Hz prop is shortened on a lathe and I have seen a couple that had a chip in one blade.
