Well a few day ago I recieved my Kwazulu Fairly Wrasse male and Naokae's Fairy Wrasse fro DD. As I already have dozens of fairy's already I decided to put into 90 gallon with Candy Basslet and Marjorie Wrasse pair. First day all was well both eating like hogs, day three a different story. The Naokae's Fairy Wrasse is chasing all the wrasse tank mates around really being a bully. Worried about the Candy and others being stressed to death I catch him and quickly toss him into the 620 with all the other wrasses, hoping that its big enough for him to have his space. Immediately my Sailfin Fairy Wrasse is flashing at him and will not let up. So now I am thinking the bully is now getting his butt kicked and that I have just wasted $200 on this beauty that will soon be killed. I kill the lights immediately hoping to diffuse the situation. The next morning hes in the corner and I think dead at first but basically cowering and still getting picked on. So I make the decision to scoop him up and turn him loose into the 240 with less Wrasses, he's pretty stressed at this point but swims into the rock work to chill, I see him later looking better but still stressed out, hopefully he makes it. I did all the socialization tricks but the aggression was brutal unlike any I have had before. I guess my luck had run out, I put him in the 90 originally because there was not really any fish of similar shape or color and thought that would be best. Sometime you just get an aggressive fish and nature takes over.
