NARC June Meeting

Our June meeting will be on Saturday, June 21st at 1:00 pm at 8Ballfs house.

8Ball plans to have BBQ prepared by his dad like the last time (oh, yum!) He already has paper plates and plastic wear. We need some soft drinks, side dishes, dessert, or whatever you want to bring.

Please let us know in this thread if you are planning to come. We need headcounts.

If you have any idea for things to do in the meeting, like a demo, discussion, frag swap, or what not, please let us know here.

Sure, you are welcome to join us anytime. We are located right around Huntsville. 8Ball's house is in Toney, AL. I suspect that it's about one hour drive from Fultondale.

For those who don't know where 8Ball lives: His house is just a few minutes away from CRA.

Suggestion:

What about everyone who has excess frags to spare bring them to the meeting for a "drawing" for all the newbies.

If it would be of interest, I would be glad to bring several different kinds of SPS to do a fragging demo and the frags would be available for the drawing.

As far as demos go. Not sure. Ofcourse we have the motorized canopys everyone always gets a kick out of. I built that new CA reactor a while back.. But its pretty much built just like a Geo so nothing fancy about it. I still have my Home made Ups. Its been put to use several times. I'm all for any ideas. H@rrys idea about a how to frag corals is good. Seems like every time I'm at Johns someone asks how to do it.. Anyone who has every seen Harry at a frag swap knows he is a master at it

BTW If anyone has a pond and is looking for some Coment Goldfish let me know before the meeting. We have a few we are taking out of the pond.. My neighbor is getting some. But they just installed a new filter so she probably will only have room for a couple...We have 6 or 7 that need to go! At this point they are getting close to going to our friends catfish pond lol

Anyone want to do a talk/demo about drilling and bonding rockwork for aquascaping?

I've seen where people are using acrylic and fiberglass rods to get some really fabulous aquascaping but have no idea where to start.

Some people use hydraulic cement (very quick curing) that does not alter pH to hold rocks together in addition to rods.
