Naso elagans and Naso literatus compatibility?

My question I cannot find the answer to anywhere, so i was hoping that you all may have the info that I need. I have a Naso elegans tang which is about 8" which does not have streamers, but it's tail is curved. I'm trying to determine if it is a male or female. I know that in Naso literatus tangs the female tail is flat at the end. My tang's tail is not flat, but it seems to me like it is curved more than naso literatus female tangs are, is this common in Naso elegans females to have a slight curve? The reason i am asking is that I am looking for a companion for my Naso elegans tang and I think that I need to add one of the opposite sex whether it be a male or female, or can you add two of the same sex together. I would also like to know if it were possible to house literatus and elegans tangs together in the same system?

from what im reading you want your 2 tangs to school together and hang out? like previously said by recty i think no matter the sex they should school around together. if your trying to sex them then dont ask me lol. good luck.

I kept a blonde naso and 'regular' naso in a 220 a few years ago. I had the 'regular' naso first and it had been in the tank for some time before I added the blonde. I added a significantly bigger blonde, at night, with the lights off. There was DEFINITELY some jockying for position but no damage at all. They didn't hang out and I don't think you'll see that in your tank either. While they tolerated each other, they weren't attached at the hip. To see this kind of behavior, you'd probably need a lot more naso tangs than you can fit in your tank...in a tank bigger than your house. lol

thanks for the input, but I have seen nasos of the same species in tanks which were smaller than mine and of opposite sex stay together before, so I know it is not that uncommon in the same species.
