Nassarius snails

I live in Hawaii, would anyone know how to catch some nassarius species? Are they around rocky beaches or sandy beaches? Thanks everyone.

Most of them live in sand around vegetation or under rocks. They will be out crawling at night, and many of the shallow-water species will have algae growth on their shells.

Cheers,

Don

Cook some table shrimp and take it with you, then put it in a sandy area with little water movement. They should come out to investigate the smell. If not, something else will eat it and be interesting, at least.
Look for snails with the snorkels, and be sure you can tell the difference between these and conchs.
Also, be absolutely certain it's legal for you to collect those. Research it.

Thank you both for the replies. I will make sure to check the legality of collecting these guys. I'm hoping to find someone who sells them but will try and collect them from the wild as a last resort.
