I haven't encountered a nassarius that wasn't tough as nails. Had some go through tap water and live.

Don't know if that's a guarantee you'll get the cold water variety, but that area is part of their range. Good luck.

Whoops. Yup, that's Ilynassa obsoleta. Sometimes still called Nassarius obsoletus, even though the name was changed many years ago.

Depending on what you've got in your tank, I'm not even sure it would be a good idea to add these snails to your tank.

I didn't even know those were mistaken for Nassarius. I got about 40 of them for free and they didn't survive long at all. They didn't seem to clean much of anything either.
You want to big white ones. Those suckers are tough.
