They said it is now 212 feet below water. I wonder if they mean that the hull is sitting on rock 212 feet below, or the highest point of the ship isnow 212 feet below. Just wondering because 212 feet is quite a technical dive for recreational divers. (me deepest was 132 ft at the "Blue Hole" in Belize and it was quite scary)
The EPA says that contaminants will leak out, but very slowly (If you go to Hawaii, the USS Arizona STILL leaks oils, which you can see at the memorial!) but I think that it's a great thing, it will get populated with stuff pretty quickly.
Then instead of buyin TBS live rock, we can buy USS Orinskey rock! ha ha!
