NEA Visit w/ Behind-the-Scenes Tour

If I can arrange for it, who might be interested in a fall/early-winter group trip to the New England Aquarium in Boston including a behind-the-scenes tour of their aquarium filtration, plumbing, and dosing system?

If we had over ten people, we'd get their group rate, but the behind-the-scenes part would make it priceless. :p

Chris

Depends when it falls since I work retail (currently planning a vaca in next few weeks) and Robin works in the schools. I take we will now more on rate when we have more people chiming in.

I'm in. btw - I live across the street from the Metro if anyone wants to park and take the train in it is about 12 dollars round trip, cheaper than parking. But 1hr to North Station then you can walk to the Aquarium.

I was thinking of parking outside the city at one of the metro lots- used to do that in college. I think I still remember my way around the city, but I always prefer rail to driving in busy cities.

The guy I need to talk with about the behind-the-scenes portion is out of town on aquarium business until next week. I'll know more then.

Good news! We're confirmed for a behind-the-scenes tour of the New England Aquarium.

Now we have to pick a date. The bad news is that it has to be Monday thru Friday during the day. For this I'm willing to take the day off.

I'm thinking late October or early November.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

I know this guy who is going out with this girl who is cousins with this girl who dated his sister who said......... lol

Looks like were out since everyone who could watch the kids works. Thx though Chris

We may possibly still be interested. Will make things much harder on a weekday. Should be a Monday or Friday. Make it a 3-day weekend:)

I think you will loose alot of interest if during a weekday. We may also have to say no. Prefer a weekend.

Yeah, me too; but the manager that would give the tour only works a 9 - 5 work-week and apparently isn't willing to come in on his day off for us (not that I can blame him).

Weekdays are most likely a no for me...

:(

Still kinda depends on the date though, if I know enough in advance I can put in for the day off ...

:)

My wife and I are in, but she needs a 2 week minimum notice to take a day off. As long as we can decide a date atleast 2 weeks before hand we are both in. Would it be appropriate to bring our 6 year old daughter with us, with the behind the scenes tour and all? I have been wanting to get her to the Boston aquarium for a few years now. I brought her to Mystic a couple years back and she loved it.
