Need 250w MH ballast

Hey everyone,

One of my two Coralvue 250w electronic MH ballasts failed, leaving half of my tank in darkness. Does anyone locally have one to borrow until I straighten it out, or one to buy? Let me know. I'm especially interested in electronic ballasts, preferably an IceCap.

Thanks for the heads up Paul. I've been cooking so i missed the bump. The only thing is that for $30 more I can get a brand new IC ballast with full warranty, doubled by American Express...

Well, I went ahead and bought one of the new style IceCap 250w Electronic ballasts. I heard that they're higher output than the old ones, and I'm a fan of e-ballasts as is, so I got it. I considered going for the PFO HQI, but it's $60 more (50%) than the IC and the new ICs are supposed to have higher output than the old ones, which still wern't bad, and they're also extremely efficient with electricity.

I'll keep you guys updated with my opinion of it.

I also bought a bunch of reefplugs since I was making a MarineDepot order anyway, so now I'll have a bunch of plugs to mount frags when I come down.
