Need a good new heater recommendation..

I decided to check my water temp today before work and the digital display said eee. Like most I panicked checked the water and it was cold. Fortunately I had another digital display gauge for the heater, so I plugged that in to find the temperature at 34!! Now I've got the current heater working again, but I don't want this to happen again, so I wanted a recommendation of a really good heater for 60 gal. cube reef tank.

Thanks!

Eheim Jagers here as well. I have a few and have had no issues with any of them. They also re-calibrate quite easy if the temp appears to be off a little.

Heaters fail, usually in the "on" position. If you want to sleep well, run any heater on a controller.

Consider running two slightly smaller heaters instead of one large heater (single failure point). This will help prevent such a large dip from happening in the future.

+1 for Eheim Jager (with a controller preferably)

None of the LFS in my area sell the Eheim Jager heaters so I just had to make do with what they had. With that being said, the Aquaclear/Hagen heaters have always worked well for me. The one I have now has got to be around 12 or 13 years old and still works like a charm.
