Need a little anemone help

Just one question, if a Condy is the giant, largest being 6-12" But mine is 18" across right now when extended, why isn't it the giant? Not being smart, just a question. Hopefully with a good answer coming. Thanks, can't hurt to know more.

Good question ... I didn't make that up it's how the Condy is written up all over the web. It's probably not that its bigger than any other anemone ... I believe that's just the translation of the word "gigantea."

Back to how much you paid... assuming it's a Condy, you can get them around here for $10. I'd assume a LTA is more than that.

I paid 40 bucks for mine, obviously it was a mix up at the fish store but they are willing to work with me and figure something out. not that big of a deal.

as far as what type it is im leaning towards condy still although the pictures from the other one do look very similar. not many nems with the tan tentacles and purple tips so when i do see one its hard to tell. ive seen mostly condy like this but that sebea looks really similar too ahhhh! i agree tho there is definetely a difference in the shape and coloring a little bit. ill try and post a few more pics of mine when i get home.

i have a bunch of anemones (saebae, brown BTA, rose BTA, and a condy) and that sure doesnt look remotly like my condy, i would say its a BTA... does the mouth look like it has lightning streaks? both of my BTAs have the lightning marks... if you can post a clear pic of the mouth, it would help with identifying it

I think the picture you're looking at (with the lightening streaks) is from someone else and pulled from a website. The OP's picts are at the beginning of the post.

Its a condy. Im sure of it. I see them every day when I go to work. The tentacles are way to long in proportion to the oral disc to be a BTA

so, youre saying that theres no chance of it being a LTA? theyre known for having purple tips as well, and like i said, i have a condy, i see it everyday when i look at my tank
