I'm switching to internal to reduce noise and free up space in the stand. Also, if you have heat issues like your running hotter lights or live someplace warm, external pumps can help that. I run led and live in the frigid north so it's no prob.
Well I need help again. With the new pump my flow boxes change the water height. How do would I know that the holes on top of both of my durso pipes are right.
Had Iwaki 40 external on my 125, switched to Eheim 1262 (running internal in my 30 sump), and LOVE it. No additional heat, freed up room in my stand and WAY quieter...
Since I replaced my pump I have microbubbles in my display tank. The plumbing is the same the only thing I changed was the a 90 fitting on the return line by the pump.
hard to beat the tried and true eheim 1262 which is what i use on my 120. The new dc pumps are more efficient and the higher quality ones run quiet also, but as far as long term battle tested eheim makes great reliable pumps.
