Need a Qt asap

I had a fish that was hard to catch. I caught him while he was eating.

Only thing the blue tang is eating is off a veggie clip, so im thinking off putting the veggie clip and some nori into the trap to lure him in, im down to the blue tang and one very smart chromi. [emoji58]

Set your alarm for 3 or 4 in morning, be ready with net and bucket, flip lights (house lights) on and you have a couple minutes the fish are blinded and easy to get. You can use the handle of the net to move fish to easy area to scoop. Powder Brown and Powder Blue will not work in same tank over time. Have yours ever swam in circles around each other? Their are always exceptions, but these circles and chasing is what stresses them out and letโ€™s the parasite get the upper hand. Anacanthus Tangs are tough to keep because they stress so easily. When they are small there are exceptions, but there nature is to be the only one in their area. Tangs are easy to catch with method above, good luck hunting.

Ok so i tried it and it didnt work, this fish is to smart. When im not around hes out, but as soon as he sees me stop and look at the tank he moves and goes into hiding. Idk what to do anymore. I Will keep trying. Also my powder brown in the qt isnt doing very good, does not want to eat. Ive tried mysis with garlic and nori, will try some lrs tomorrow. All chromis look good and eating.

Finally caught the blue tang today, i guess he knew he had messed up when i caught him picking at my sps [emoji35]. I started poking him with a scraper handle until he came out of his hiding spot and into another, went to the other one and did the same thing i wasnt giving up this time. Finally came out and started swimming around in a panic mode, i think i stressed him out a bit but no one messes with my sps. Hes now in qt yaaaaayyy. Lol
One chromi to go, havent fed him in two days so it will be a piece of cake setting up the trap with food in it.

IMO, the display tank needs to be fallow for 76 days to eradicate Ich. During this time, I would not add anything wet that has not been quarantined (e.g. corals, snails,..). If you do, you are taking a risk.
What treatment are you planning on using in the quarantine? If using copper, I would recommend Copper Power. It is a chelated copper, which seems to be easier on the fish. Also, do not dose the entire amount at one time. You want to bring it up to therapeutic level over 72 hours if possible. Be careful with ammonia levels in the quarantine as well. Best of luck.

So corals can transfer ich ? And snails ? How do you qt snails ?

Im using cupramine, for flukes and ich. All my fish are in there except one chromi, and yes the countdown will start when my last fish is out of the display.

While corals and inverts are unable to host Ich like fish do, they are still capable of transferring Ich if they came from an infected tank.
I would recommend using Praziquantel (PraziPro) to treat for flukes.
