I am working on the plumbing for a 180 dual overflow and want to know if I can take the 2 1" drains and tee them together so they'd combine into one 1.5" drain into the sump?
Yes, I would also add a valve, ball or gate valve to adjust the water volume so it won't make so much noise. You may not even need it but it may come in handy later on
i think he means put a valve on the return line. never put a valve on a drain line unless you're creating a siphon. and teeing drain lines together sounds like a recipe for a very loud drain. 2 1" drains for a 180 gallon tank also seems quite small.
Ok so I will put the valve on the return side. The drains are 1"" on the dry side of the tank on a standard pre drilled rr tank. How load will that be? I guess that is kind of a stupid question
