I just got a ASM G4X skimmer for my sump which is either going to be a 55 gallon or a 3x3x2 acrylic container. There will be 4 55's draining into it and possibly 2 more added (or the equivalent to that) Each 55 will have a 1-1.5 inch drain at the upper corner or the tank and gravity fed to the sump.

my question is: what pump would work for me?? I think i should overshoot it for now in case i add 2 more. I was thinking of the sequence 4300 (the package they have at AZponds.com)

Would that work? I think over 4000gph should work well, and i can just use a ball valve to adjust the flow..

Thanks everyone

I'd use a smaller pump to feed into one tank...which would gravity feed into the next tank, etc. which will eventually gravity feed into the sump (think series, not parallel). You'll be able to get by with a much smaller pump and save some electricity to boot.

well i can't really gravity feed one to another because they are in line... 2 on top of 2 so far.... My friend has the same system with 12 55 gallons going into one sump and one return pump... it works very well... so i dont think it will be trouble... But do you think a 4300 would be enough to return water to potentially 6 55's with 1" drains??? I dont want it to overflow the tanks

Thanks
