Need advice. Crocea clam won't open.

Hey everyone....my BTA decided it was time to stroll the tank after 2 months of settling in. Now it's set up shop next to my crocea clam for 2 days now. Problem is my clam has been shut for over a day and won't open. What do you think?

If the BTA touched the clams mantle could anything bad happen? The clam was spread wide and awesome until the BTA moved next door.

I don't know what to do...if anything. Thanks.

yup, move the clam. I can say this though, better closed than gaping open, it means the clam is still strong enough to close. Here's how I panted my BTA. I drilles a hole the size of a quarter into a 8WX4D rock, cut a plastic soda cup in half and mounted it with ESV Zap Gel. it mounted it's foot into the hole and attached from underneath. Stayed there for 4 years before I gave him to a friend.

Anyway, you should be ok, just move the clam, is the crocea mounted high?

No it's mounted about 8 inches off the bottom. Took your advice and moved it to the other side of the tank and within a 1/2 hour it was open wide and happy again. Thanks guys.
