Need advice on online fish purchasing

I have access to a local wholesaler and obviously a few LFS but I have never ordered fish online. I have a 220 reef and 47 reef currently set up and a 220 reef on the way and I'm looking for more options when stocking the tanks.


Any advice is greatly appreciated.

liveaquaria.com is a great site, IMO. Lots of good info about the fish and corals, too.

However, you should develop your own quarantine protocol. Live Aquaria and all other vendors depend on you quarantining your fish.

No they don't ! Are you thinking about DIVERS DEN?
LiveAquaria fish are shipped direct from their wholesaler in Calif....not to mention: a week or 2 of QT is not a 'true' QT...more of an 'observation time'... as snorvich mentioned, you should still QT all your purchases.

Agreed. About half the fish I've gotten from DD have intestinal parasites. They say they do a prazi bath for all fish, but just a prazi bath often doesn't cut it for internal parasites.
