last batch of 50 i had got back in march i still have atleast 20 of them, but live longer than turbo snails and margaritas snails, i like them because there good sand sifters and can get in place other big snails cant they will eat anything.

most got killed of by my hermit crabs, had a bad hair algae problem so i got some hermit crabs now that water quality is better and hermit crabs are dying off i can get back to snail only clean up crew, with some cleaner shrimp of course.

this is what i buy good sand stirrers and eat left over food and fish waste

fyi , those are cold water snails and not meant for reef tank temperatures. They also dont usually burrow anywhere near as good as true nassarius snails.

Will sand-sifting gobies constantly crater the sandbed so it's always white?

I had a diamond goby in my nano cube and it kept my sandbed extremely white. they pretty much sift all day and dig caves under your rock.

I may go buy a cucumber, a fighting conch, and 2 pepperment shrimp today. Just going to research the cucumber's a little more.
chad, I may still buy that sand from you, but I need cleaners more than sand for my sump right now. thanks

probally so but nassarius have shorts lives and i have had these before and for the price have made it longer in my tank, its just a clean up crew they all die off and have to be replaced they just make it longer, cheaper for those snails which do burrow well than price of some lfs. Not a cheap hobby got to go for the price.

Zach if you put any more sand in your tank you won't have any room left for fish. Your bed is like what... 6" at least?

hah yeah yeah I know, I was lookin for sand to put in my sump this time. I may just take some from the top and put it in there.

Why not go Remote Deep sand bed?

I did a deep sandbed b/c it helps becomes part of your filtration from what I understand. they say anything over 3" is the best, but my ended up like 5-6" in some places. I like it, other than haveing it blow around a slight bit.
