I have a black/white occe pair and a long tipped Seabae in a 12 gal tank. This tank is very old and the water params are perfect and the nem has done really well and growing. However, as planned, I've finally got the custom 60 gallon set up. The dims are as follows: 48" long, 18" wide and 17" high coast to coast external overflow, three 1 inch drains/stockman standpipes two ¾ inch returns on a Quiet One 3000.. Lighting: Two 150W Halides and actinic supplementation - Bubble Magus NAC6 skimmer, 30g sump with full fuge with deep sand bed (ooky sand old from and old tank)- I stirred up the ookyness and a nice cloud of goo cycled thru the tank but now it's all settled The rock went in this weekend - Marco Rock which has been cycling for about 3 months with a chromis in the other room, new sand.
Here's my problem. I'm not sure when I can add the nem to the new setup. The clowns will be fine but I want to add them all at once. I feel the new tank is too "new" and it may be harmful to the nem. The params are as follows - 0 ammonia, 0 nitrates, 0. Phosphates, kdh 8, cal 440 ph8.4, sal1.035. The old tank has a little phosphate and .05 trates and everybody is groovin.
I'm sitting here looking at this beautiful new tank doing its thing with nothing but rocks and one pulsing xenia in it. So, when?
Thanks.
