I have a 29 gallon tank im turning into a display refugium.(slowly)
I drilled the back yesterday and i have to wait till tomorrow to plumb it all up because i forgot a few vital pieces.
I WAS WONDERING IF I SHOULD HAVE A DEEP SAND BED OR A SHALLOW? I WILL NOT BE PUTTING IN A DIAMOND GOBY OR ANY OTHER SAND SIFTER (A YELLOW HEADED ROSE GOBY FOR SURE) BUT JUST HAVE THE CUC AND MAYBE A FEW DIFFERENT LITTLE THINGS.
This tank has been running for over a year and i upgraded to a bigger tank and now i want to make this one a display fuge.

WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK?
THE SAND BED IS ABOUT 3 OR 4 INCHES RIGHT NOW

3-4 inches should be fine as is. Whatever you like, really.

Is your sand alive? Building your ecosystem from the bottom up helps to close the circle of food input to plant production. The more diversity the better.

Good luck with your display refugium!
