Need advice

I posted this question in the lighting question with no answers, so I will ask you guys. I have an ati 4 bulb fixture over my 40b. I plan on keeping mostly sps with a few lps. I can get a 6 bulb tek light for a decent price. Should I keep the ati or should I get the 6 bulb tek light?

Definitely keep the ati. It's a much nicer fixture than the tek and you really don't need 6 bulbs over a 40 breader. If anything get some reef brights to add onto the ati but I wouldn't downgrade to a tek.

Thanks for the advice! I'll definitely look into the reef brights as an add on if I don't get the growth is like from the sps

I wouldn't worry about light being the limiting factor of growth with that fixture on a 40. Honestly you might even bleach some corals if they aren't acclimated properly. The reef brights is really more for aesthetics and the pop of blue leds.
