Need Advice

Hi all. I'm returning to the hobby after an extended absence and need some advice. I have a glass 210 will drilled corner overflows. I have a 55 and 29 acrylic that I could use for a sump and or refugium. I have two garbage cans full of obviously dead rock (but a lot of the rock is great shapes for design). I have a skimmer. I have t5 (only) lighting. I have ro/di set up. I also completed the electrical (2 20 amp breakers).

The list of what I need:
- some advice on where or how to start
- a return pump/what kind and how big?
- a stand and canopy/ should I try to make myself? design ideas?
- plumbing the system
- setting up the empty tanks as sump and refugium/ design?

I know that's a lot but I'm feeling overwhelmed. Any advice would be appreciated.

Start here: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1031074 as most of your questions are answered in that link. The link is called Setting Up and is located as a sticky at the top of this forum. The search feature here on RC is probably the best one I've seen on any website. There is anything and every thing that you want to know right here on RC.

I'm not trying to blow you off, just pointing you in the right direction to get your answers. There are also forums here for plumbing and some very knowledgeable people there to help you.

I know the feeling of getting out of the hobby and then back in again. I left it for at least 10 years and came back right about a year ago. I'm now the proud owner of a very nice 40b reef tank. I've had tanks up to 200 gal and at this point in my life I don't want that much work, so the 40b fit the bill for me.

It will take you quite a while to read through that link, but it's time well spent. It's almost like a book with many chapters and links to the information and it's laid out very well and easy to find what you're looking for.

Welcome back to the hobby!
