Need an ID on this Leopard wrasse

Kinda looks like a melanarus wrasse, but could also just be a male leopard.

It is a male Ornate Leopard wrasse. I think the Black spott a the base of the Pectoralis fin and the strip pattern on the head ID it. Henry C Schultz III article on Leopard wrasse:

Thanks. That's what I was hoping it was. I'm assuming it just didn't fully have the male colors yet.

I am not sure if it is a male or female. I never have one but from what I read the dimorphic changes of Ornate Leopard is not as drastic as other Leopard
Wrasse. Looking at your fish you are better qualify to sex him/her than I am able to from not too clear pictures.

if you can get a picture of the dorsal fin up, you will be able to distinguish between an ornate and a potters. Also the potters has a lot more orange.

Were you ever able to figure out which one it was?

Still not sure. I got a potters from the same store last week but it is much smaller. The one last week came in as a Hawaiian leopard wrasse. The invoice this week from the same supplier just says leopard wrasse.
