need equipment for my new setup

i haven't had a tank setup in a year and i finally have to fix that problem. got back more on taxes than i expected and ready to just buy everything i need to get up and running.
i have a 150gallon(48x24x31) and a 75 as a sump/ato,QT. the only thing i got other than my tank and stand is- a 2400gph pump, couple powerheads and RKL.
here is a list of things i need,
protein skimmer- rated for 150-300gallons
lights-(thinking about doing diy led) but might hold off on this for now
wavemaker- maybe tunze- vortech too pricey
dual reactor
sand-going with a thin amount, less than a inch just for looks
dry rock- marco or brs type. 100-200lbs.
plexiglass- sump baffles
im sure im leaving some critical stuff out but the main thing is the skimmer, so i can build my sump around it and finish my stand to allow enough space to work on it but not to waste vertical space(low ceilings where i live now) so i can still put a proper canopy on top.
my budget at this moment is about $1200-$1500, would like to save as much so i can put that toward fish/coral
any help would be great.

greg,
I would recommend 400W MH for a tank over 30" if you are going to do SPS. I will have a setup for sale next week if you are interested. I will not know what I have to spare until the tank is setup this weekend. Good luck with your setup......always exciting.

MH are prob the best are far as strong light on the sandbed but i would rather go with led and not have sps on the bottom if i have too,but i think there would be a way to make a led setup to allow me to do that for the right price. if i went MH it would be 250 watt, but rather not because my canopy isn't going to be tall enough to keep the lights off the water and the expense of changing bulbs every 6-9months. will keep a open mind but as of now will just prob put a PC light just for a FOWLR and read along how BILL's led work out for him. really need a protein skimmer over anything else, then dry rock will be next.
thanks

I have live and dry rock if you need any and may have some sand as well, you can have the sand for free. I think I have 1-2 5g buckets if you need.
some LR has corals growing on them Too.

But if I was you I would put a t-5 retro kit on your tank. 4x 48"t5 A lot better lighting then pc bulbs. Your just going to be throwing your money away. And you'll be Growing alge with pc bulbs. And can always use the t5 with your led upgrade or sale them easier Then pc lighting.
Just my .02 on that.
