Need Help...Black Cucumber

My Black Cucumber has some white stuff coming out of his head. I have heard this is not good for your tank. Any advise is greatly appriciated.

The only thing I did today was switch lighting to MH and they were only on 3 hours tonight. I have had him for 2 years without any problems.

White solid stuff, or white liquid stuff, or white stringy stuff... need to be more specific. If you've never had any trouble with him and it's liquid or semi-liquid I'd maybe look into whether it is spawning or not? I don't know cucumbers, but do know that you need to be more specific.

Basically, if your fish are still alive, then I personally wouldn't worry too much. Maybe run carbon and do a water change, but without further pictures...it is hard to say.

FWIW the cuverian tubules that are ejected as a defensive measure (and which are toxic) do not come out the mouth but rather the anus.

Thank you for your help. It was white stringy stuff. It was released arround the head from what looks like a small tube. It would come out and the stop and then more would come out. i did a water change. I will add some carbon and let it run. Everything looks good.
