Need Help - Calcium and Alkalinity

Hello All,

I have 400 Gal SPS Tank. With more than 70 SPS + 15 LPS.
I never be able to get calcium above 400 ppm.

My average water parameter in the past 2 months are :

pH : 8.15 - 8.35
Ca : 390 - 400 ppm
Mg : 1100 - 1240 ppm
Alkalinity : 9 - 11 dKH
Nitrate : < 1 ppm
Phosphate : Undetectable

I use Korallin Ca Reactor and Aquamedic Kalkwasser top-off system.

My target to have Calcium at 420 - 430 ppm
Any suggestion ?

first of find how much cal and alk your tank need and how much your reactor is putting in. Takes a bit to get it right but once it there you dont have to do anything but keep and eye on it. Remember Ca reactor only keep your parameter level assuming its putting enogh in. Here read this link and see if this help you.
