Need help..........canon digital rebel

Okay, I finally got a good camera......A Canon EOS Digital Rebel

with the 100 mm f/2.8 usm macro lens. Problem is I know

nothing about cameras and my pics thus far have hardly been

better than my kodak easy share. Any advice is welcome.
 
There's no substitute for good old knowledge- you just need to learn how the camera works and your pictures will improve greatly. Understanding depth of field and how it's affected by aperture and shutter speed is the main part of it. Give this article a read and you'll be well on your way. If you want specific tips post a few photos for critique.

You've just learned factoid #1 - the photographer is more important than the camera. ;)

Congrats on the purchase. That's a great lens, especially for aquarium use.
