hi, my name is sebastian and i'm at my first year at university. Me and one of my classmates have to make a presentation about a topic that we may be intrigued by or just interested in... and I found about mantis shrimps and i'm completely amazed by this creatures... so now to the point that brings me here... I wanted to know if someone could email me some videos of mantis shrimps attacking preys or anything that might be of interest. I would be very grateful if someone could. Thanks

(sorry if my english isn't very good, it's a little late here and i'm a bit tired =D)

i thought about that, but i need them in my hard drive... that's why i need someone who can email them to me =D

thanx anyway

PM me your email and i can send a vid of my G. smithii taking out a small crab.

this one isnt mine. Dr. Roy Caldwell filmed this one so you'll have to ask him permission i imagine. read the second link (screen name Neogonodactylus) as it explains the video. i love this video because you can see the mantis' behaviour. notice how during the fight the peacock is always turning over the octo so the venomous beak is always facing away form the mantis.
