need help dosing

so im trying to dose 2 part in my tank but cant seem to get the dosages right, it's either too much, not enough, too often or not often enough. i of course tried the directions on the back of the bottle first but that was too much/too often so i cut back then it wasnt enought. i've tried dosing on differant days and im just looking for a little guidance. i have a 110 gallon tank and having been dosing c balance 2 part. my coral stockload is not really that high, i guess i would consider myself moderately stocked. thanks all for your help.

Stability is good so rather than alternating days I would dose whatever it takes to get your alk 8-10 and cal around 420. Then start dosing at half the recomended daily dosage and check alk after a couple days, if its drifting up then cut back a little and see if it holds or if its droping then slightly up it to get it to hold. Dont try to adjust your current levels up or down with daily dosing, you need to start off at your ideal level and then figure out the daily amount needed to hold those levels. Also low magnesium levels can prevent you from keeping alk and cal in balance. What are your current alk. cal. and mg. levels?

Tweaking your daily dose will take about 1-2 weeks of daily testing. Start by not dosing for a few days and test to see how much alk and ca your tank uses daily. Use the dosing calculator to determine how much 2 part you need to dose to increase alk and ca. Then continue to test daily until you get it dialed in. I dose kalk in my ATO keeps alk and ca very stable.

The above poster has a good idea of leaving without dosing for two days and then using calculator. I got rather lucky when I first started on mine and was not too far off and now only test 1-2 times/week.
