Hi!!

my fish have flukes what can i do? I have a 360g mix reef tank I was thinking of prazipro but im worry about my corals is prazipro reefsafe have anyone try this in a reef thanks alot for the help........

I have used Prazipro in a reef tank, with no issues. Some people have experienced problems with their feather dusters and Coco worms. If you don't have any feather dusters or Coco worms, you should be ok. Also, when using Prazipro, you would need to turn off your skimmer. The skimmer is going to go crazy, after Prazipro has been added to the tank.

Any chance, you could move the fish to a separate tank?

Prazipro is reef safe except for feather dusters and other type worms. I called the company and talked to them. No problems with corals as well.

With that said, I had a 12" Passer Angel that I bought, put in main tank (I did not have QT big enough) his eye's started to cloud up. I did not want to treat the main tank unless I absolutly had to.

I did fresh water dips, started at 10min 1st day, 2nd day 15min, 3rd day 15min, took two days off, next dip 15min. The first dipped looked liked it snowed in the bucket. I was ticked that I bought a fish that was that invested with flukes!!! Yes his eye was a little cloudy when I bought him.

Anyway.... the fresh water dips did the trick, but I did buy enough Prazio Pro to treat my main dispaly. 325 gallon. I have it as a back up.

Angel is doing great, after being fluke free for 1 1/2 months. No other fish in the tank showed any signs of picking up flukes.

Again, I would try to treat the one fish that has them, than treat the tank.

Good Luck

I have to many fish with flukes :hmm5:

PraziPro works great to get rid of flukes, but be very careful because it will kill all worms including bristle worms. I used it on a customers tank that we found out after adding the PraziPro that it had hundreds of bristle worms hiding. The worms died and caused the entire system to crash from elevated ammonia levels. Make sure to run your system continuously for 3-4 weeks with PraziPro to kill all the flukes. PraziPro does not kill the eggs, they must hatch for it to work. The life cycle of flukes seems to be about 15-20 days.

ok i just dose the prazipro the fish have no flukes anymore wen that I have to dose again?

thanks for all the help

IMO, it is best to dose Prazipro and let it run its course for the full seven days. After the first treatment is completed, I would do a big water change (50%) and do a second treatment of seven days. Make sure that you shake the bottle well before dosing.

Again, any questions call customer service. I did and the folks were very nice. They won't bs you and you here from the folks that made the stuff, not second hand.

Good Luck.
