Hi, I've had my tank running around 10 months now. Within the last month a few of these have started popping up in a few places around my tank. Please help me identify what these are and if this is something I need to be concerned about. Looks kind of like a fan shaped plant. Its somewhat translucent and very thin.

thanks in advance

Thanks Pyithar. Yes, bryopsis seems right from some of the searches I just did. Thanks for the help, guess I'll be working on getting that out of the tank this week

"bryopsis controls:
seems to proliferate when there is some ammonia and or nitrite available. strong biological filtration (nitrification and denitrification) limits its growth. herbivores. manual removal.

herbivores:
rabbitfish, diadema urchin, tuxedo urchin, mithraculus crab, sea slugs: elysia spp., caliphylla mediterranea, placida dendritica, p. kingstoni, p. viridis, and limapontia capitata."

to be honest with you, i haven't even heard of the names of some herbivores mentioned here. :D
