Hi everyone,

Hopefully someone can be of help identify this illness my clown fish is experiencing. I picked him up about a week ago and is currently in my quarantine tank. I started to notice the white spot a few days ago but its gotten a bit bigger. I showed it to my friend and he said it looks like a lymphocystis.

below is a photo of what I was able to capture with my phone.

Thanks in advance for those that can chime in.

its losing its appetite. It'll act healthy for a moment and swim with the rest of the fishes that are also in the QT. but ends up hanging out by the pvc pipes most of the time. I recently placed it in a partition bin so I can keep an eye on it.

It's starting to show its getting weaker

Yep for the first 4 days it was eating. not a lot but a good amount. My other clown fish is just eating a lot so I can see the difference between the two health.

The lack of eating could be from the copper or the disease itself (depending on which disease this is). You have some options. 1. Leave the clown and see how it goes. 2. Take the clown out of the copper and treat separately. Treatment, of course, depends on the disease.

Are we talking about the white lumpy looking things, where the posterior dorsal fin meets the body? Or the three white dots on the pectoral fin?
